Read: Gilmore Girls: The Official Cookbook (#31-2022)

Gilmore Girls: The Official Cookbook

Gilmore Girls: The Official Cookbook by Elena Craig, Kristen Mulrooney

This is a super fun book that contains anecdotes and stories from Gilmore Girls supporting recipes of foods that were essential to the show.  With Luke and Sookie both spending a lot of time in kitchens, and Friday Night Dinner a staple moment of so many episodes, clearly food plays a big part in the show.

There were a couple of foods that made an impression on me in the show that I wish had been included (Mock Turtle soup, anyone?) but the items included are great and might actually motivate me to try one or two of them myself.

Read: The Joy of Cookies (#17-2022)

The Joy of Cookies

The Joy of Cookies by Cookie Monster

Come on now, if ever there was going to be a book written about the joy of cookies, you knew it had to be written by Cookie Monster.

Full of fun cookie tidbits (not crumbs, just information) and even a couple of Mr. Monster's favourite cookie recipes, this is a genuinely fun little book.

Read: Enough Already (#11-2022)

Enough Already

Enough Already: Learning to Love the Way I am Today by Valerie Bertinelli

The third biographical book by Valerie Bertinelli switches pace from her previous books to talk about life, loss and joy.  This book isn't about a particular journey or struggle, but about all the journeys and struggles that make life what it is. And about learning how to be (and love) yourself today, despite societies expectations.

I Read: The Plant Paradox

The Plant Paradox by Steven R. GundryThe Plant Paradox: The Hidden Dangers in "Healthy" Foods That Cause Disease and Weight Gain by Steven R. Gundry, MD

I picked this up and actually started reading it a couple of years ago when several celebrities were touting Dr. Gundry's techniques. I'm interested in different perspectives on how food affects the body so it was a natural fit for my reading list.

I am definitely not a biology person, but I know that different foods affect different people differently and that no one "diet" will work for everyone because of that.
